1.
Moonstruck Eyes transfixed in wonder, Softly shimmering pale and blue; Mirrors of that celestial body gently glowing, radiant and true Outside bitter winds are biting, Clawing at the Cabin Door; Sleet and hail fiercely pounding hellish rhythms, more and more Hark, the merry rant of fiddles, Joyfully it fills the night; Drawing near the weary traveler closer to the portal bright, Look through the window and into the room, Pale blue mirrors defying the gloom, Reflecting the light of the moon Hark the merry rant of fiddles, Joyfully it fills my ears Moonstruck Eyes delight to see me, graciously they melt my fears. Outside bitter winds are biting, Clawing at the Cabin Door, Inside mirth and joy inviting, welcome me to join the score Of lively feet upon the floor. -Brandon Vance
2.
Borne on a Wistful Wind, Weaving playfully upon the Harper's Strings The Haunting Melody of Child-like Laughter brings A tear to weary eye. Child of a cursèd clan Released from the shackles of our mortal life Drawn from the bowels of an existence of strife Into Strong Arms of Love. Spirit of Freedom Fly Mounted up Silver-Winged Steeds of Pure Air Marking Passage by Souls stirred in a wake of Care; A sense of hope renewed.
3.
Awaken Hope and Gather force On Thundering Hooves of Steel Come hard upon this black remorse, Which binds me where I kneel. Bright Eyes through darkness blaze the way While laughter shatters fetters; And Pains fierce Hounds are held at bay By Loves Pure Gift to debtors. As ghostly silence swirls beyond In mountain sanctuary The snap of life-blood's icy bond Echoes and seems to carry A silver mist entwines about Clumped needles of myrtle green Each pierce a crystal beadle stout Shimmering an emerald sheen. The Dragon-Breath of spring does slip Heavily upon the glen; Thawing winter's icy grip, Resurrecting Life again! Lamenting pipes drone on no more, But cleave the skies in Victory! The Dancer springs, as once before, A Fling for all Eternity!

about

This 3-Song Cycle is composed by Brandon S. Vance, and dedicated to the memory of his three sisters, Meaghan, Caitlin, and Erin, who passed away from rare neurological degenerative disease called "Batten Disease."

The first song in the cycle is called "Moonstruck Eyes," and is set to a poem by the composer, in memory of Meaghan Ruth Vance, who simply loved the moon more than anything else.

The second song is called "Windborne" and is set to a poem by Mark W. Vance, the Brandon's late father. This poem is dedicated to the memory of Caitlin Jean Vance, who was truly as fast and free as the wind.

The final song is called "Awaken Hope," and was also set to another poem by Mark W. Vance. The subtitle for this song is "Bright Eyes," whose laughter and strength of spirit in the midst of so much pain and suffering inspired everyone she came into contact with.

50% of Bandcamp sales revenue will be donated directly to The Batten Disease Support and Research Association.
